District Veterinary Nursing Services
As a District Veterinary Nurse, I provide practical Veterinary Nursing support for pets in their own home. This can be especially helpful when managing ongoing conditions, caring for a pet after surgery, or supporting pets who find travelling to the practice difficult.
I work alongside your veterinary surgeon and can help you carry out the care plan they have recommended. My aim is to make treatment easier for you and more comfortable for your pet.

Veterinary transport and appointment support
I offer a service where I can transport your pet to your veterinary practice, speak with the Vet on your behalf about their treatment, and bring them safely home afterwards.
This can be helpful if you find it difficult to get to the practice, feel anxious about appointments, or would appreciate support understanding and managing the treatment plan.
Please note that I am able to transport pets only and cannot transport owners.

Veterinary Nursing care and advice is unique to your pet. I will liaise with your Vet to ensure the best care plan is in place to aid your pet's comfort and recovery, from the first day they join your family to the last. If you do not see what you need listed above, please get in touch.

If you need help caring for your pet please get in touch as I am able to help with most cases.
As per the RCVS Code of Conduct, I will only take on work that I am competent to do.
This is not a diagnostic service and I cannot diagnose, operate or prescribe.
I will discuss all cases with the Veterinary Surgeon to ensure complete and thorough treatment and care of your pet.

Occasionally Veterinary treatment, and the associated nursing care does not go according to plan and your pet may need to have their treatment plan changed or be referred to another Veterinary professional for further investigation or treatment.
If you have concerns regarding a visit or communication, please email hello@nicolavetnurse.co.uk where I will endeavour to resolve your concern. If this is not resolved satisfactorily, please contact the RCVS complaints department.
